Chapter 66

Joey put his hands on her waist and kissed her on the cheek. That was when he whispered, "You’ll never keep this baby."

Tyler pushed him away from her. "GET AWAY FROM ME!"

Kevin grabbed Joey by the collar and started to hit him but Tyler stopped him. "KEVIN, DON’T!"

Angrily, Kevin said, "You can’t do it can you, Fatone? You can’t be around Tyler without upsetting her! Tommy, get him off our property and make sure he STAYS off this time. Call the cops if you have to."

"Don’t worry. I’m out of here," said Joey. "As usual, Richardson, you’re hiding behind Tyler."

That infuriated Tyler. "At least he’s not hiding in a bottle!"

Tommy took Joey by the arm but he pulled away and walked to the car. Tommy and ‘Bull’ followed him to the end of the driveway and watched as he drove towards town.

Tyler turned to Kevin and he held her in his arms as she cried. Kevin asked, "What did he say?"

Tyler sobbed, "That I’d never keep this baby."

"Shhh...baby. He’s not going to hurt us. I know you don’t want to hear this now but this is the EXACT reason I wanted Billy to keep him away from you."

"I know. You’d think I’d learn after all he’s done to me but I really thought he was being sincere."

"I know. Look at it this way though. Every time he does something like this, its one more thing we can use to make sure he DOESN’T get custody of the baby. Who heard him at the house?"

"Billy was with me the entire time I was talking to him. I didn’t want to take any chances of him hurting me."

Kevin laughed softly, "You’re slowly realizing that Joey can’t be trusted."

"Slowly."

"Come on, baby. Everyone is waiting for us and we still need to do the group pictures."

"Kevin, I’m sorry for letting Joey talk to me and not telling you about inviting JC, Lance, and Chris."

"It’s okay, baby."

"If it makes you feel any better, they declined because of Joey."

"It doesn’t matter. I really don’t have anything against them, just Joey. They were helpful when Lou had you."

The couple headed to the carriage and Kevin helped Tyler get in. On the ride back, the couple made out like a couple of teenagers.

When they got to the house, Howie, Kryss, Brian, and Sonja were waiting for them along with Tiffany.

"Hey! You two aren’t on your honeymoon yet," teased Howie.

Kevin laughed, "We’ll be on our honeymoon until the day we die."

"Where are the others?" asked Tyler as Howie helped her out of the carriage.

"AJ and Nick are talking to the DJ," said Kryss. "They didn’t like the music he was playing."

"Sounds like them. Sonja, could you and Bri round up my family, Kevin’s family, Denise, AJ, Lex, Nick, and Fiona for pictures?"

"Sure, Ty. Where are we going to do these pictures?"

Andre was with them now and he said, "Why not in the living room by the fireplace?"

Tyler looked up at Kevin, "What do you think?"

"Sounds good to me."

"We’ll meet you there then," said Brian as he put his arm around Sonja and headed to get everyone.

Kevin and Tyler walked to the living room with Howie, Kryss, and Tiffany. Kevin was talking to Howie while Tyler talked to Tiffany.

"Tyler, you looked so beautiful," said Tiffany.

"Thank you. How would you like to hang out here in Kentucky for a while?"

"How long?"

"Well, Kevin and I are going to stay here until the end of the week and then we’re flying to LA for the Kids’ Choice Awards."

Tiffany looked at Tyler wide-eyed, "You mean, you want me to go with you?"

"Sure. Aaron’s going to meet us there."

"What about my mother?"

"I’m sure she won’t mind. Aren’t you out of school next week?"

"Yeah, I am. What about your honeymoon? Won’t I be in the way?"

Tyler laughed, "Well, I thought that you could stay with Courtney and Annie until Monday or Tuesday and then Kevin and I will pick you up. You can help us shop for stuff for the baby’s room."

"I’d love to!"

"Kevin and I will make the arrangements then."

The others had joined Tyler and Kevin for the pictures so Tiffany said, "I’m going to find Aaron."

Kevin heard her and said, "No way! You have to be in the pictures too, Princess."

"Me?" questioned Tiffany.

"You are officially a part of this family," said Howie. "The Backstreet Family."

"Speaking of family," said Tyler. "Howie, don’t you have something to share?"

Howie grinned as the others questioned him. He took Kryss’ hand and pulled her to him as he said, "I asked Kryss to marry me earlier and she said ‘yes’."

Everyone was excited for Howie and Kryss and started congratulating them.

Kevin and Tyler stepped away from the crowd to watch. Kevin put his arms around Tyler from behind and kissed her on the neck. He whispered, "I love you."

Tyler looked over her shoulder at him, "I love you, too."

"You know, today has been awesome."

"And it’s not over yet. We still have the reception."

"And the wedding night," grinned Kevin mischievously.

They took an hour to get the pictures but they had fun. The guys clowned around joking and singing to keep everyone occupied. Tyler loved it when the guys were like this, which was most of the time, but there was one thing wrong. Tyler couldn’t help noticing that Lex was a little upset.

When they were done with pictures, everyone started to go out to the reception but Tyler stopped Lex. "What’s up, Lex?"

Lex looked at Tyler but AJ said, "Come on, sugs."

"’Bone’, you guys go on ahead. I want to talk to Lex."

"Okay, but you’re going to miss the fun."

"I doubt that," said Tyler with a grin. "Unless of course you’re going to strip while you’re sober."

AJ laughed, "I just might."

Tyler gave Kevin a kiss, "I’ll be there in a minute, ‘Boo’."

"Don’t be long, baby."

Everyone left and Tyler turned to Lex. "Okay. Spill it. I saw how you were while we were taking pictures."

Lex shook her head. "It’s nothing really. It’s just that, well.... you and Kevin are married, and the other three are engaged. I know AJ loves me but..."

Tyler laughed, "Lex, AJ is totally in love with you. I wish you could have seen the look he had on his face when you started grinding with Nick last night. I thought he was going to go berserk! Don’t worry. AJ will come around eventually."

"I don’t know, Tyler."

"I do. Hey, if the tall, blonde one can see the light, I KNOW AJ will."

Lex laughed, "I guess you’re right."

"Come on! It’s time to PARTAY!! And this time, WE WILL ALL BE SOBER!"

"So we can remember it this time," laughed Lex.

The two friends headed out to the reception and met Kevin and AJ who had hung back to wait for them.

Kevin gathered Tyler in his arms, kissed her deeply and looked into her eyes. "I say, we take care of all the formalities and then change so we can do some serious partying," he said. "I want to see what you’ve got, baby."

"I agree," said AJ. "Now that Lex is sober...."

"And Kryss and Fiona," added Tyler.

"Yeah, them too," said AJ. "We can REALLY get down."

"Sounds good to me," said Tyler. "I expect most people are going to want to leave by midnight anyway."

"Ty, are you up for it?" asked Lex. "I mean, you were up late last night and..."

"I’m up for it. Question is, can ‘Boo’ keep up?"

"You just shake that beautiful bootie, baby, and I’ll keep up."

The four headed down to the tent where the music was already playing and people were fixing themselves something to eat. Kevin and Tyler started moving throughout the crowd talking to the guests, thanking them for coming, and Kevin introduced Tyler to his high school friends that she hadn’t yet met.

AJ and Lex went to the DJ booth to get the music for Kevin and Tyler’s first dance. Of course, it was ‘How Did I Fall In Love With You’.

AJ took the mic when the song that was playing was over. "Hey! Hey! Hey! Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Richardson are in the house! Let’s give it up for the newlyweds."

The crowd applauded Tyler and Kevin as they made their way to the dance floor.

"Kevin and Tyler are going to take their first dance as husband and wife to the song that started this whole romance."

AJ started the music and Kevin took Tyler in his arms. Everyone looked on as the couple danced together, their eyes locked in an intense gaze that told the whole story. There was no mistaking the love the two shared as they swayed slowly to the music.

The couple spent the next couple hours dancing, talking, and mingling with the guests. Tyler made sure that Tiffany was a part of it all too.

Around eleven-thirty, Howie took the mic. "Tyler, Kevin, you’re wanted at the cake table."

Kevin and Tyler made their way over to the table where Denise handed Tyler the knife. Kevin stood behind her putting his hands on hers as they cut the cake together. They put it on the plate Denise had set there for the.

Tyler looked over her shoulder at Kevin, "Are you hungry, ‘Boo’?"

Kevin saw the gleam in her eyes and knew she was up to something. He leaned to her ear and whispered, "Yeah, but not for food."

Tyler giggled and blushed as AJ shouted, "You aren’t on you honeymoon yet. Cut that crap out."

Kevin laughed, "You’re just jealous cuz Tyler saw the error in her ways and decided to marry me and not you."

AJ hugged Lex close as he said, "NO! Just jealous that it’s not MY wedding night."

Tyler grinned at Lex as Kevin took the first piece of cake and held it for Tyler to take a bite. He was nice about the whole thing and didn’t give her too much. He also wiped the crumbs from the corners of her mouth.

Then Tyler got the rest of the slice they had cut and looked up at Kevin. He saw the gleam in her eyes again and realized what she was about to do.

Laughing, Kevin said, "Baby! Be nice."

Nick hollered, "Get him, Ty!"
