Chapter 10
Saturday morning, Kevin and Tyler both woke to the sound of the phone ringing. Kevin reached up and answered it sleepily. "Hello."
"Kev! Is Tyler with you?" asked AJ in a panic.
"No! Why?"
"Lou is tearing up the town looking for her. He even went to Howie's parents' house and they had to call the cops to have him removed. It's like she just vanished."
The mention of Lou's name woke Kevin and he said, "She went to Tampa on business. I told y'all that the other day."
AJ had Kevin on the speaker and Nick said, "Lou sent someone to Tampa and Tyler never showed up."
"Why is Lou looking for her in the first place?" asked Kevin, more to Tyler than the guys.
Tyler didn't say anything but Kevin knew something was up by the look on her face.
Brian said, "He said she's in breach of a contract if she's with any of us. That's probably why Tyler decided to stay with Joey."
Kevin said, "Guys, I'm going to have to call you back in a few minutes. Where are you?"
"We're at the studio," said AJ.
"Is Howie there?"
"He's on his way."
"Tell you what, when he gets there, you guys call me back."
Kevin hung up and looked at Tyler. "Baby, I think it's time to tell the guys. Lou has been to Hoke's looking for you and they had to call the police to get him off the property."
"I think it's time to call the attorneys and have the restraining orders filed and include my family."
"I agree. The guys mentioned a contract."
Tyler looked away. "I know what they're talking about. We've talked about this. I just didn't tell you everything. Along with resigning my job, Lou had me sign a contract as a dancer for 'NSync but there was a clause in the contract stating that I had to sever ALL ties with the Backstreet Boys. That's why I didn't go home for Thanksgiving or Christmas."
"Why didn't you tell me all that?"
"Because the contract won't hold up if Lou tries to sue me."
"How do you know that?"
"I talked to Christine and had her look it over. She said that because I signed it under duress, it's invalid."
"So, are you ready to tell the guys then?"
"Yes!! Lou obviously knows I'm not in town."
A minute later, the phone rang and this time, Kevin put it on the speaker. "Guys, there's somebody who wants to say 'hi'," said Kevin.
"Hey, guys!! How's it hanging?"
AJ, Brian, and Nick went crazy hollering with excitement and Nick said, "Baby, hearing your voice makes everything just perfect."
"Where the hell have you been?" asked AJ. "You had us worried to death."
Tyler laughed, "I've been with Kevin ever since last Wednesday."
"Why didn't you just tell us?" asked Nick.
"Mainly so if Lou came looking for me, you could honestly tell him that you had no idea where I was. Guys, there's a lot more to all this but I'm going to let 'D' explain it to you."
"You mean Howie knew too?" asked AJ. "Gee! I thought I meant something to you, Ty!"
Tyler couldn't help laughing as she said, "You do, 'Bone', but Howie IS my cousin."
"That's cool! So, when do we get to see you?"
"Not until after the Grammy's," said Kevin. "She's staying here so Lou can't find her until she goes."
"Have you broken up with Joey?" asked Brian.
"I'm going to do that before the Grammys."
Nick laughed, "Cool! We get to kick 'NSync's butts in the Grammy's and get you back where you belong."
Everyone laughed at that and AJ asked, "Ty, why don't you just call him?"
"She can't," said Kevin. "What she has to tell him isn't something you do over the phone."
"What are you going to tell him?" asked Nick.
"I'm pregnant with Joey's baby," said Tyler softly. All the guys fell silent on that and she went on. "Guys, Howie will explain everything. I just want you to know that I'm okay, Kevin and I ARE together, and I love all you guys!!"
"Before we go," said Kevin. "The contract that Lou was referring to won't stand up. He forced Tyler to go to work for 'NSync and cut her ties with us. In exchange, he stopped running those articles about us."
"You did it to protect us?" asked Brian.
"Yeah," said Tyler. "You guys mean the world to me and I wouldn't let ANYONE hurt you."
"We love you too, Ty," echoed all three guys.
Nick said, "Kev, you take care of her."
Kevin hugged her close as he said, "I plan to, Nick."
"When are you coming back?" asked Brian.
"I'm going to meet you in Charlotte for the first show on Wednesday."
"Take care, guys," said Tyler.
Kevin hung up and rolled Tyler so that he was on top of her. He kissed her and said, "I love you."
"I love you too! God! It feels good to tell the guys."
"I know. I hated lying to them but I wanted to protect you."
"I know. Kevin, you said I was staying here until the Grammy's but I need to go back and get my stuff from Joey's."
"That can wait. It's not safe in Orlando right now."
"I'll be okay," insisted Tyler.
"I can't make you stay, baby, but I'm going to worry more if you're in Orlando."
"I'll think about it."
The phone ran again and Kevin answered it. It was his mother calling to see where they were. Kevin promised her they'd be there in an hour.
After Kevin hung up, Tyler pretended to pout. He asked, "What's wrong?"
"I was hoping we could make love again."
Kevin kissed her and said, "There's nothing I'd like more. Come on, let's go get a shower."
The two went to the bathroom where Kevin got the shower going. The two stepped in together and as the water ran across their bodies, Kevin took Tyler in his arms. Tyler placed tiny kisses along Kevin's neck, moving down to his chest. Kevin loved the feel of her touch and watched as she continued kissing his stomach. Her hands were gently caressing his balls and Kevin felt like he was on fire.
"God! This feels like heaven," moaned Kevin.

At his touch, Tyler let out a soft whimper. Kevin pulled back and looked into her eyes. "Damn, you're good. The feel of your mouth, the look in your eyes, and the fact that I've dreamed about this forever were too much."
Tyler smiled, "I know the feeling."
The two helped each other lather up, having fun exploring each others' bodies and then rinsed off. They got out of the shower, dried off, and dressed quickly.
Tyler asked, "What are the symbols on your hip?"
"They're the Japanese symbols for pleasure and music."
"What is the other tattoo suppose to be?"
Kevin laughed, "Couldn't you tell it was a tadpole?"
"No! Why a tadpole?"
"For you, baby."
Tyler laughed, "You and Pops are the only two who call me 'Tadpole'."
Kevin took her in his arms and gave her a kiss. "I think you're as cute as a tadpole but I think we need to rename you. We need to call you 'Frog' because I want you to jump me."
"That can be arranged. Why a tadpole and not my name or something?"
"Because I got it while I was still with Kristen."
"If you were interested in me that long ago, why did it take us so long to get together?"
"Because you were dating Joey and going to college."
"Not to mention, you were so wrapped up in your career. You guys spent so much time in Europe. I guess it's just as well. We have such a good friendship and that makes what we have even better."
Kevin kissed her and said, "Definitely. Tyler, you're my best friend and I don't ever want to lose that."
Tyler and Kevin spent the rest of the weekend with Kevin's family. They told Tyler stories about Kevin growing up and showed her pictures. They also played in the snow and had a wonderful time. Tyler felt so much closer to Kevin when they left Sunday night.
