Class: Damask Height: 5' Width: 5' Bred: Hardy, France, 1832 Description: Fragrant, white, once-blooming, very double. Comments: This rose was ordered bareroot from Pickering in the Spring of 2000. I potted it up in a five gallon pot until moving it to Rose Bed Three in the fall of 2000. In 2001, it reached over 5' tall and gave quite a few blooms that spring. In 2002 it was covered with an abundance of blooms in May. I have been extremely pleased with this rose so far. It has been very disease resistant, though the foliage was a prefered snack of japanese beetles, despite the fact that it had finished blooming by the time they came for lunch. It did make it easier for me to drown them since I knew their favorite cafes and visited those frequently. | ||
