Comments: This rose is a sport of Westerland. I bought two grafted, two gallon potted plants in Spring 2000. That fall, I planted them in the Front Garden, on either side of a window on the front of the house. The next spring they put on a fantastic show with intermitent flowers throughout the summer. In the fall, they further extended the period of interest with a display of large, round, bright red hips.

The foliage has been shiny, bright, and disease free without the use of fungicides. I am looking forward to seeing it cover the wall around the window, giving it a romantic, English cottage look.
