| Raquel Valle Sentíes nació y creció en Laredo, Texas. Asistió a la Texas Women’s University donde se graduó en Arte. Su primera colección de poemas Soy como soy y qué, fue publicada en 1996 y obtuvo el Premio Internacional José Fuentes Mares, otorgado por la Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua. Cactus Ediciones reeditó este libro en 1999.
Su poesía ha sido publicada en numerosas revistas literarias de México y Estados Unidos. Raquel ha obtenido dos premios de dramaturgia y como pintora su cuadro Old Man, obtuvo el primer lugar en el International Juried Show, celebrado en Laredo, Texas. Actualmente trabaja en una serie de retratos dedicados a escritoras chicanas.
