One day soon the dust on my dresser won't matter anymore. Neither will the red mud my children track across my kitchen floor.
The carpet that needed shampooing will not even bother me.
Neither will all the new channels on my new cable TV For one day soon I won't lie in my king-sized brass bed.
My eyes will be closed and people will say I am dead. But don't let tears fill your sweet and loving eyes. I won't be there for I will be with Jesus somewhere in the skies.
They will lay this body of clay in a casket with pink silk lace. You might see me lying there or kiss my once smiling face.
But remember I don't live in that body anymore. Jesus will have given me a new one as the angel came through my door.
Roses will be displayed on my casket one day You might see them even lower me into a grave of clay. But remember I won't be in that body any more. But remember I won't be in that body any more.
So don't cry for me but keep all my love forevermore.
I'll have tucked your love down deep in my soul. And I will be in glory where death has no hold. Your love will always be the closest thing to me. As I eat from the tree of life and sit by the crystal sea.
I'll look for you over heaven's balcony each and every day. Because heaven won't be heaven if you're not there to stay.
For one day too your soul will leave this world all behind. Then we can live for eternity sharing our love we've kept for years lovingly intertwined.
