The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People is the nation's oldest and largest civil rights organization. Its half-million adult and youth members throughout the United States and the world are the premier advocates for civil rights in their communities, conducting voter mobilization and monitoring equal opportunity in the public and private sectors.

The Hampton University Chapter of the NAACP encompasses the same ideology. Examples of leadership and activism along with mobilization, community education, and community service activities are the essential areas of focus of this chapter of the NAACP.

While this is the chapter website, all current events and activities can be found on the Hampton University intranet page. This is accessible to any current Hampton University student. To log on, please follow these instructions:

Go to www.hamptonu.edu
Click on "Online Resources", then "HUNet"
Enter your User Name and Password
Click on "Groups" (in the upper right-hand corner)
Click on the category labelled "Political" Click on the "Groups Index" tab
Click on "NAACP" and follow the rest of the instructions.

Please feel free and navigate the website! You may contact us by going to our "Contact Us" page and telling us what you think!
