Clifford Newell, Jr. was born and reared in Mt. Pleasant, MI. He is a graduate of the Memphis School of Preaching, Alabama Christian School of Religion (B.A. and M.A.), Kentucky State University (M.P.A.), and Southern Christian University (D.Min.). Clifford is married to Diane Elaine (King), and they have two children and two grandchildren. Clifford is also an avid golfer and University of Michigan football fan.
