It was on this day that my new owner first noticed me -- something had startled me & I
cantered off across the paddock. She thought I moved beautifully, so she wrote down my
number (83).
All the ponies on Assateague are rounded up at put into the pens.
We all have orange stickers placed on our rumps so we can be easily identified. The number on the sticker is the same as the number our mothers wear as their brand.
People come to look at us and take note of which ponies they are interested in for the auction on Thursday.
