Always looking for an excuse to visit the UK, Mags and Kathy decided to celebrate their 30th birthday in the mother country!! Our friend Kristina spent several months over there for work, and got us some cool digs in the posh Mayfair district. Along with our buddy Shevaun, we set out to wreak havoc on those Brits! Buckingham Palace - Looking for Prince William
No luck there!! We did get to check out the palace, even though they wouldn't let us in. Since we were only visiting this time for 5 days, we did a quickie tourist walk around the major sites, before it was back to the pub for more Guiness (or martinis, for Mags and Kristina, as evident by the below picture.....)
A few Guiness (and martinis) later,the girls got ready at the flat for the big night out. Ministry of Sound or bust!! MOS is one of the largest clubs in London, and at the wee end of London proper. We eventually got back to the flat, changed shoes, and headed straight back out to McDonalds for breakfast at 6:00 AM!! Just like back home!!! After a night (and morning) of sporting, the girls go to church -- Westminster Abbey -- to repent the night's fun!! Shevaun, Maggie and Kathy pose for Kristina, and then view the memorial on the lawn set up in remembrance of Britain's version of Veteran's Day, as well as a tribute to the September 11th tragedy.
