| Pack 499 | First joined in Scouting. Passed Tiger Cubs, Bobcat, Wolf, Bear and Webelos under Mr. Bob Sroka, Cubmaster. |
| Troop 499 | Promoted up to "the bigs." Earned Scout, Tenderfoot and Second Class under Mr. Mike Fountain, Scoutmaster. |
| Troop 996 | Transfered in, and earned First Class and Star under Mr. James Johnson, Scoutmaster. |

| 1997 | Nature counselor/director. After some unfortunate incidents, assumed control of day-to-day operations of nature until new director could be hired. Counseled geology, nature, and forestry merit badges. |
| 1998 | Pool staff/director. Ran day-to-day operations of the pool. Counseled Swimming merit badge. |
| 1999 | Waterfront staff. Counseled canoeing, motorboating, and rowing merit badges. |
