The Vampire Lezbos are a politically & socially charged punk rock band that sings about what most won't, or can't...and in true punk detail. They question everything...including those 'taboo' subjects which many people invest much of their identities in, and are thus, unpopular to question. And this is where the controversy begins. This is what makes them one of the most controversial bands in the world. Some like to call them a conspiracy oriented punk band, which is dubious at best. The word 'conspiracy' today is used in a negative way to derail any serious, thought provoking discussion, when it doesn't agree with the official lie. In other words, it is thrown around to ridicule or dilute an idea, except when it plays into the hands of those in power. One must always remember...where there is 'conspiracy theory', there is also 'conspiracy fact'. It is also helpful to remember that whenever you get more than 2 people in any room, people 'conspire', even about the most mundane things. Its a fact...a way of life. Its not just our world, its your world too. What they write about has been thoroughly researched. And on the contrary, most who ridicule specific topics they write about, have done little to no research of their own. They react with arrogance, scorn and condescension. After all, they surely would have heard about it if it were true, or so they think. You know... knowing without knowing. In fact, research and questioning has lead the Lezbos into a world where there is always a 'story behind the story'. 'Pure truth' lurking in the shadows of a world living a facade on the scale of a universal 'Truman Show'. Living in a world, hundreds, if not thousands of years behind what should be, based on science and technologies that currently exist, but are not being shared with the masses, for political and financial implications. Most of these themes are just not reported or talked about in the mainstream press for fear of losing power over the masses, and after all, thats what it all comes down to. Fear=Control, Fear=$. And while we're at it...Talk - Action = Zero, Talk - Research = Stupidity.

To quote Michael Ellner: "Just look at us. Everything is backwards; everything is upside down. Doctors destroy health, lawyers destroy justice, universities destroy knowledge, governments destroy freedom, the major media destroy information and religions destroy spirituality." This was not by chance. But the clincher is this...We are living in a holographic universe. Any division between you and I, has been manufactured by those who gain power from us believing that. For division is synthetic, as we are all just individual expressions of a greater single consciousness. This universal 'mind' knows all that is and expresses it through us, through intuition and innate knowing. Realizing this will help dissolve those make believe bars we have allowed ourselves to be caged in with, and at the same time, strips the power from those few who try and control us through their narrow minded version of the matrix. So this is where we begin, by peeling back those layers of matrix induced lies, so that we all may finally realize our true potential, and enjoy our time here in this existence.

Born during the summer of Orwell's 1984, in Spokane, Washington...USA. Time was also served in Portland, Maine; Seattle, Washington; San Francisco, CA; Portland, Oregon and Auckland, New Zealand. They are currently based in Auckland, New Zealand and released their fourth studio album entitled '2012', in 2009. A 1st album re-issue is set to be released in July, 2012 on Flat Field Records. This will be a vinyl & cd release only with bonus material including their 1986 unreleased demo with Rob Westergard singing, David Lezbeau on guitar/vocals, Jeff Duty on bass & Mike Hill on drums. Their name was taken from a Cramps song, which originally came from a 1960's movie. Touring of the States & Canada started in 1985 and continued on through the nineties. Due to changing attitudes of certain bandmates at that time though, the Lezbos then reluctantly slipped into low gear, sporadically playing shows. It was during these down times that the Lezbos lost a couple of bandmates. Passed onto better places, perhaps. These are constant reminders to live life to the fullest everyday, and no longer let mediocrity seize the day. Freedom after all, is more vital than a job! How free are you? So after this unintentional and somber time, the spirit of '76 once again illuminated and they regrouped. They then hit the road again in 2005, after 10 years of not touring, on what was their most extensive tour to date, a 50 city U.S. tour. their last U.S. tour was in the summer of 2009, supporting their latest album. Joey Shithead of D.O.A. fame, helped the band early on by sharing shows with them a number of times in both countries. Joey also helped produce the 2nd Lezbos LP, 'Patch Of Blue', as well as sing back-ups with Wimpy, from D.O.A. and the Subhumans.

Eleven U.S./Canadian tours enabled the Lezbos to play with some amazing and not so amazing bands like: D.O.A., Adrenalin O.D., Dough Boys, Circle Jerks, 7 Seconds, Queers, Fugazi, Faith No More, Gang Of Four, Bad Religion, Toxic Reasons, Nation Of Ulysses, Operation Ivy, All, Adolescents, Battalion Of Saints, Poison Idea, Neurosis, Verbal Abuse, Beyond Possession, Shudder To Think, Skinyard, Filth, Raunchettes, JFA, Dead Milkmen, L7, etc. They headlined over Nirvana and Everclear during their early years.
