    What We've Done in the 2000-2001 School Year:

  • We earned the All in the Family Try-It at our first meeting while our parents completed the necessary paperwork.
  • We earned the Friends Are Fun Try-It when we introduced new girls to our troop
  • We made swaps to trade with another troop from Utah.
  • We completed the Manners Try-It.
  • We earned the My Body Try-It.
  • We are collecting coupons to send to Military families overseas.
  • We are also collecting magazines to donate to retirement facilities.
  • We held our Investiture/Rededication Ceremony in November.
  • We participated in Girl Scout Calendar, Cookie and QSP Magazine Sales
  • We prepared information on Switzerland for the service unit Thinking Day event
  • We attended the Service Unit 54-11 Sing and Swap event
  • We went camping at Camp Coles Trip
  • We held our annual Winter Celebration Party and made wonderful crafts and revealed our Secret Pals.
  • We took our guest to the VIP dance
  • We celebrated Juliete Lowe's Birthday
  • We baked goodies for the service unit Election Day Bake Sale and then got to witness how the election officials tally the votes.
  • We organized and participated in the Bicycle Rode for the brownie level activity. Special thanks to the Fair Oaks Division of the Fairfax County Police Department!
  • We had a field trip to the Washington Sports Club
  • We painted windchimes at the Clay Cafe Studio in Falls Church
  • We went to the Brownie to Junior lockin and earned the Junior Math Whiz badge.
  • We had a year-end Pizza Party to celebrate the achievement of our Service Project Objectives (see below).
  • We completed the requirements to bridge to Juniors this spring.

    We also participated in the following Community Service Projects:

  • We donated gift baskets at Thanksgiving and Easter to FACETS for the homeless.
  • We made Teddy Bears to donate to the Childrens Center at Fair Oaks Hospital.
  • We collected magazines that were donated to several retirement homes.
  • We collected, cut out and organized over $10,000 worth of manufacturer coupons for the Overseas Coupon Project.



    What We've Done in the 1999-2000 School Year:

  • Investiture/Dedication Ceremony
  • We had a baby shower for Mrs. Schultheis
  • We participated in our Service Unit's Sing and Swap
  • We held our troops 3rd annual Christmas Caroling Party
  • We visited the Howard B. Owens Science Center - (we highly recommend this)
  • We attended a GS Cheerleading Clinic at George Mason Univiersity and cheered at a Patriot's Women's Basketball game.
  • We hosted the VIP Hoe-Down dance for all of the girl scouts in our service unit and their fathers/VIPs.
  • We sold lots and lots of cookies and participated in three booth sales.
  • We attended the Service Unit Thinking Day and learned about Brazil, Venezuela and Chile
  • We went to the Service Unit Brownie Level activity and earned the Safety Try-It
  • We celebrated Juliette Lowel's birthday and the Girl Scout birthday.
  • We sold calendars and participated in the QSP Magazine sales
  • We learned line dances - thanks to Ms. Jenny
  • We collected two Thanksgiving baskets for Facets for the needy
  • We made Valentines cards for a local nursing home.
  • We made an Easter basket for a local group home.
  • We have planned a Mother's Day event
  • We earned lots of Try-its
  • We learned lots of new songs
  • WE HAD FUN!!!!!!!
