ABOUT ME

1. First name:
Edward (I usually answer to Ed)

2. E-mail address:
egabris@hq.nasa.gov

3. Why am I taking this class? What do I hope to learn?
I want to acquire the skills to create effective, attractive web pages which will be used to provide a geographically diverse population with important and timely information.

4. What type of Web site would you like to create?
A home page for a homeowners association is West Virginia which would be used by them to access Association information (newsletter, Board of Director Minutes, building permits, budget records...) and local activity information (weather, ski reports, local events calender, hunting and fishing reports). Would also provide information to prospective renters of vacation homes, which is important to the continued ownership of many Association members.

5. What is your dream job?
I'm leaving it - spent 36 years working on exciting space development and exploration projects (including sounding rockets engaged in solar research, Shuttle technology, Shuttle payloads, space power and propulsion technology to name a few.)

6. Where do you see yourself in five years?
Retired from NASA, working part time in the IT industry. Using the "free" time to snow ski, travel, support Special Olympics and build furniature.

7. One interesting fact about myself:
I build solid wood furniature as a hobby.
