Gaby's Story...

On March 6th, 1997, I had just moved in to a house in Cascades (Sterling, VA) with a cool Puerto Rican roomate. One Thursday night, when I got home from my last day of classes at NOVA, Addie -my roomate- said "I feel like going out... Let's go dancing."
I agreed, we got ready and after one hour we were on our way to Cecilia's discotheque in Arlington, VA.

When we got there, she started introducing me to her friends, and one of them asked from what country I was, I said Costa Rica!. After a little while he left and Addie and me started dancing with some of her friends... when all of the sudden... while looking around, I see a nice guy at the corner, drinking a beer and talking to his friends. I immediately told Addie "He is the best looking guy I have seen tonight."
"Of course..." -I thought- "he is not going to pay attention to me, so I better not think about it". After being dancing and having fun for a while, Addie's friend came back to talk to us and he told me there was a Costa Rican guy around there and he wanted to introduce us. I agreed to his idea and to my big surprise the "Costa Rican guy" was the handsome man I was looking at earlier.

When I saw him walking towards me, I felt a bunch of butterflies in my stomach and of course "I COULD NOT BELIEVE IT".
After a short introduction, we starting talking about us and what we had in common: Our country. We found out that we are fans to the same soccer team and went to the same university and same faculty.
Time went flying and soon it was time to say good bye!; he walked me to the car, we exchanged phone numbers and agreed on going out again soon.
I thought I was never going to see him again, but next day I got the first of many, many phone calls from him, inviting me out.
And since then, I have been the most fortunate girl on earth. The Lord gave me a treasure... Eddy is the most caring, loving, understanding and hard working person I have met. I love him very much and he loves me a lot too.
