Who's To Blame?
By Kenneth R. Cabrieto

           I gave you all names,
And I could easily take them away.
           That's the bottom line.
You'd only listen to what I'd say.
           I didn't give you life,
But I helped you mold it.
           I didn't give you life,
But I coud take that away too.

           These are powers,
That I've held for too long.
           I don't want them anymore.
I don't want to hurt you anymore.
           I never wanted to,
But it seems I did anyway.
You may not see it now,
           But in time you will.
           Perhaps in time as well,
I'm the one you'll want to kill.
           Please forgive me.
I was taught the same as you.
           You taught others too.
           Who's to blame?
I don't think we can blame anyone,
           Except ourselves.
           For what we taught,
And for what we have become.

When you end up having a lot of power you often tend to make a lot of mistakes. In the end we're always looking for someone to blame other than ourselves.
