Unmet Wants
By Kenneth R. Cabrieto

I want to pop the bubble,
     It's distracting.
     I want to reach in,
But for once my arms are too short.
     I want to drive,
But the gas tank is empty.
     I want to call,
     But I don't have a signal.
     I want to scream,
But the neighbors are sleeping already.
     I want to be brave,
But I can't find my courage.
     I want to give up,
     But I don't have a choice.
