The Girl I Know is Gone

          Back when she was feeling bad
          She was brave enough to go against her dad
          And although it makes me really sad -
          Thae girl I knew is gone.

          He struck her down with just one swing,
          Reminded her clearly, who was king.
          Forced her to forget everything -
          The girl I knew is gone.

          She said farewell to me soon after
          A beautiful love was now a disaster
          I guess I understand - he is "the master" -
          The girl I knew is gone.

          Time went on but I could never forget
          I was sad, but never in regret
          An end to this bottle, I still have not met -
          The girl I knew is gone.

          This are some of the things I say in my head to remind myself to move on. I've been saying these things for years and I actually wrote this as a "song" that plays in the background of my head. As you can prolly tell this didn't help me move on much and they might have been the reason I was so down for a while.
