The Fool
By Kenneth R. Cabrieto

          Fools dream of foolish things,
Dreams are foolish when they seem unattainable,
          Failure makes you feel foolish,
          But only a true fool,
Only a true fool has no dreams.

          I don't know where I stand.
          Am I seriously contemplating
The brand of fool that befits me?

The untrained eye can read my obscure title.
          I admit that I am a fool
But I am a fool with a dream.

I want to ask if it is foolish for me to not chase this dream
          Unfortunately that's a fools question
Because I already know the answer.

          Foolishness only bears more foolishness
And the weight has started to cursh me.
