Simple Solutions
By Kenneth R. Cabrieto
There's nothing to do
As I wait for my clothes to dry.
I'm sitting alone
Watching this candle flicker.
The clock keeps ticking
But happiness is still hours away.
The fan keeps spinning,
Yet there's still sweat on my brow.
Suddenly it falls out,
Great - another nose bleed.
Stress is still getting to me.
Weakness is still present.
I suck it up - literally,
Wipe the sweat away,
Crack the window,
Ignore the clock
And read 'til it's time to fold clothes.
Simple solutions -
That's what You taught me.
