Move On Young
By Kenneth R. Cabrieto

          Come on D,
          Young,
Yo it's time to move on.
          Keep the past past young
Check it the mess is gone.
          The only way to go,
Is fo' you to move on.
          Choose other options
And you jus' gonna find yoself wrong.
          Those problems,
          They've been dead,
          Dun even matter no more.
          Get them out ya head.
There's a new world to explore.

          Move on young.
          You gotta.
          Move on.
          No other choice.
          Move on,
          Are you listening?
          Move on.
          Hear the voice.

Dun even try to tell me
You thought that it would last.
          Keep ya head up,
Rememba that the past is the past.
          Jus' rememba all you learned,
'Cause there will always be mo' prollems.
Keep ya mind on ya focus,
And it'll be a cinch fa' you to solve 'em.
          Soon you'll be trackin' success,
And be surprised 'bou where you came from.
          You've come a long way,
No need to be embarassed son.
Delinquent, though you may have been,
You're no longer on the run.

          Move on young.
          It's been time.
          Move on.
          Look at the light.
          Move on.
          No question 'bou it.
          Move on.
          Young, this is right.

          If you wanna be great,
You still gots a long way to go.
          Then again you're D.I.E.
So you'll make it fa sho.
          Just don't lose that passion
And the right paths you'll know.
Can't even call you young no more,
          Already starting to grow.

So what more can I say
As I look into this mirror?
Already toll myself to move on,
          Can't make it any clearer.
A lil' worried 'bou the slips,
Buh I ain't gonna trip and fall.
From here on out I'm movin' on.
          Yeah, I guess tha's all.

This is one of my more 'ghetto' poems. Actually I guess it is more of a rap. Read it again but this time read it as fast as you can without jumblin' up the words. I know none of you are gonna read it again. It's all good tho...just take my word for it, it sounds better.
