Misled
By: Kenneth Cabrieto

           Sometimes we want,
           What we can not get,
           Sometimes we love,
           Those we have not met.
           We say to ourselves,
           One day we will,
           An even bigger demand,
           This tends to build.
           Until one day,
           It becomes too much,
And we do what our hearts
           Say to and such.
           If we fail,
           Is it really a loss?
           A broken heart,
           Perhaps the cost?
           Knowing this,
           We still try,
           We listen to our hearts,
Because to us, it never lies.
           But nothing knows everything,
           We know that from songs,
           But perhaps we fail,
Because our hearts were just wrong.
