I Am Me and No One Else
By Kenneth R. Cabrieto

     It was me.
I was the one who did all the work.
I was the one who had to sacrifice it all.
I was the one took the responsibility when things didn't work out.
I was the one comforted the people we screwed over.
I was the one who accepted the blame.
I was the one who took all the hits.
I was the one who took the scars.
I was the one who worked hard to rebuild.
I was the one who had no choice but to stand alone.
I was the one who carried our burdens.
I was the one who created it all.

     You didn't do any work.
     You didn't sacrifice anything.
You denied being involved when things didn't work out.
You laughed at the people we screwed over.
You blamed it all on me.
     You ran from our problems.
You didn't catch a single scar.
You disappeared when it was time to rebuild.
You gave me no choice but to stand alone.
You pushed the burden on me.
You took all the credit for what I created.

My name is the one that is listed.
My blood is what spilled so I could get here.
     I don't need you anymore.
I stand alone because I don't want you here next to me.

I am me and I will only succeed if you're no longer around.

     The pseudonym is gone.

I am me and no one else.
