Good Intentions
By Kenneth R. Cabrieto
I'm no longer ammused.
I was once guilty
But now I'm innocent.
Knife's been replaced by a pen.
What was once scheming -
Has become secret plans.
Secret because they may not happen
And this time around they're not even evil.
Good intentions.
This is what I've ultimately become.
Still having fun
But it's no longer the illegal type.
Fallen victim to the system.
Positive,
Erasing doubt,
Working without cutting corners.
My only hate -
Is what I was.
Am I selling out?
I don't know.
Happy?
Yeah, I am.
Confused?
For now -
But Google's still looking for the answer.
After I read up on this
I'll have more questions to query.
It's weird
This is my life now
And I owe it all to you.
It took a shove
And then another
But now I've gained the power to make it all better.
I can help now
So I'll do as much as I can.
~Thank you.
