Allied Enemies

     The fact that I could kill you at any given time,
     Appeals to me.
     The fact that you could do the same to me,
     Makes life interesting.

     It's too bad that we'll more than likely die
     By someone else's hands.
     Although we're the worst of enemies,
     We're still the best of friends.

     For that reason,
     We've never pulled out our blades.
     For that reason,
     We've both gone unscathed.
     For that reason,
     I get even more respect for you.
     But,
     For that reason,
     My hate for you grows too.

     If you could only see,
     That I want so bad to die.
     If you could only see,
     That I want you to take my life.
     If you could only see,
     The real reason I won't kill you.
     Then, perhaps I could ask;
     If you were waiting for me
     To kill you too.
