Hey everyone! For those who don't know I have livejournal, well I do now! So, if you want to see my updates, then go here
Hey everyone! *or should I say the two or three of you that still check this* Today has flown by for some reason, but hey. Let it. I am ready to go home!
Had a good weekend. Friday I sat at home like a loser and did homework and watched some TV. Saturday was fun. Beth got to come up. YAY! It was so much fun. I'm so glad she got to come up. We went to the Mongolian Grill with Misty, Jennifer, Misty's parents, and Scott. The rest of my evening was interesting. All I'm gonna say about is one bottle of wine, one Smirnoff Ice, 12 a.m. I was gone for the first time in my life, that's somethin' that just don't happen twice. *Kenny Chesney plug* Sunday was yet another eventful day. Let's just say Sunday didn't actually start for me until 3 p.m.
I have to give a big "shout out" to my sissy-in-law, Lavonna. For those who don't know she plays professional football in our area's women's league. She scored a 55 yard touch down. How cool is that? Way to go, sweetie!
I missed my babies playing baseball this weekend cause I didn't find out until it was too late, but I'm going to see them this weekend. Jesse went and watched some because he had gone home, and he filled me in. Hey, I was there in spirit, no doubt. Hopefully, I'll get to catch some of Lavonna's game, too. Well ya'll, I think I'm gonna head on outta here. Going to Jones's and Jay's for tacos tonight, and I need a shower. I don't think everyone wants to smell burnt skin all night. :) Keep in ROCKin'!

I taste like Beef.I taste like beef. I'm probably made of beef. You are what you eat, they say, and if the title didn't mean something else, I would be a beefeater. I think red meat is good for you. Puts hair on your chest. What Flavour Are You? |

Hey everyone! How's it going? Things are good here in Radford I suppose. Not much has been going on lately. But there has been one good thing come out of this week. One awesome thing. I got my Praxis scores in the mail yesterday. I PASSED THEM ALL!!! I am so excited.
The Braves managed to win another one last night. That makes them 5-5 for the season. I'm not surprised they won. Glavine pitched. Maddux is starting tomorrow, so maybe he'll be able to help the winning record. Well, guys I'm outta here. Keep in ROCKin'!

At times life is wicked and I just can’t see the light A silver lining sometimes isn’t enough To make some wrongs seem right Whatever life brings I’ve been through everything And now I’m on my knees hoping But I know I must go on Although I hurt I must be strong Because inside I know that many feel this way*
First off, congratulations to Mitch and Leigha on their new baby boy, Caleb Allen!

Not much to say except...What is up with the Braves?? Come on guys! Get ya heads outta ya butts and play ball already. Pre-season's over. This is the real deal. Maddux is looking to come back on Friday. Keep your fingers crossed. Like I said, not much to say so I'm outta here. Keep it ROCKin'!
Well, the Braves managed to pick up another win last night against the Phillies. Maddux is looking to come back on Friday. I hope he does. Braves pitching is no longer what it used to be, and it could cost them their division title. But hey, let's not be negative. They do have some great hitters, and I think adding Sheffield (spelling???) will prove to be a smart move. At the moment they have a winning record, and it's anyone's game at this point. GO BRAVES!!!
Today has been a rather unproductive day. I managed to get myself up to go to classes, despite not feeling well. Other than that I've spent most of the day in bed.
I don't have much else to say, so I'm not gonna say anymore. Except to say if you have a favorite artist or know of a good one let me know. It's for my Art Final. Thanks. Keep it ROCKin'!
I hate waiting...
I am beyond ready to go home. Back to the black hole in which I was born. Nothing Big about it...not even the Stone or the Gap. But it's the one place I long for right now. I guess it's not the place I'm longing for, but my family and the atmosphere of my house. What's important is that which is back home, except for Jesse of course. The rest of my family is back home...where I long to be. Like I said...I want to be with my family, but life is more than Big Stone offers. My family has always been, is, and always will be a big part of my life. Everyone else just seems to be passerbyers to wherever. Dorothy knew what she was talking about.
Well, after losing two games to the Mets (okay, so the Mets kicked Braves ass and took names), the Braves managed to pick up the win today against them. Final, 5-2.
I had a good weekend. I got to spend a lot of quality time with my parents. It was really good to get to spend time with both of them, especially out of the house. I hate that my father can't get out much anymore, but that's just how it has to be. I'm glad he got to go out with mom and I this weekend though. I really needed some good quality time with my family. Mom, Dad, and me went to Little Mexico for dinner Friday night. It was a good dinner. We talked about the wedding, and my dad actually joined in on the conversation. Even if it was only for a little while, it was great! I know he'll never be 100% happy that I'm getting married, but he said something to me that made it all okay. And no matter what, I will always be my daddy's little girl.
Then mom and I went shopping, and we didn't fight even once. That's a record for us. *LOL* Saturday, Mom, Dad, Jesse, and I went to Kingsport so Mom and Dad could go to the new super Wal-mart. Mom and I finally convinced Dad to let us by a swing we had seen at K-mart the night before. I think the fact that it was $20 cheaper helped out. So, when I go in for the summer, Jesse and I have to put it together. It's not a porch swing like I really wanted, but it's a swing, and I can't wait to get it up and start using it. Then, we all went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner. After that we went to Sears so Mom and Dad could look at hot water heaters (mine's broken). Today I hung out at home, watched some of the Braves game, saw my babies (who are growing like weeds), and headed to Jesse's dad's baptism. I finally got back to Radford about 8. Can't say I'm glad to be back. What I really want is to be done and to go back home. I think I've been struggling lately with what to do after college. I really want to be close to home and my family, but there's so much more out there than Big Stone will ever be able to offer. Oh well, I guess I have two years to decide. *smiles*
A few "random" thoughts:
If you're going to ask a question, listen to the answer. Don't involve yourself in another conversation or completely ignore the answer. People are talking for a reason... to be heard. If they wanted to be ignored, they'd talk to the wall. Of course, in some cases the wall does a better listening job.
If you want someone to seem interested in your life, try showing them you're interested in theirs. One man's trash is another man's treasure. Diversity makes the world go round.
Stop comparing yourselves to Britney Spears or Brad Pitt(or whoever guys compare themselves to). Britney Spears is not the average woman. It's true men drool over her, but who do the men come home to every night (the good ones anyway..the ones we want to keep)? The average woman, not Britney Spears. Sorry, guys! I can't relate to you on this one. Maybe one of you can give some insight into the whole Brad Pitt thing. Besides..this is one girl who doesn't see what all the Brad Pitt fuss is about.
Take a break! Stress level skyrocketing? Ready to explode any minute? Walk away. Don't have time? It's when you don't have the time that you need to make the time. Otherwise, you're just a gernade who's waiting on that one thing to pull the pin and you explode. And then you could start WWIII.
More thoughts later...Keep it ROCKin!
Well, the Braves lost last night 3-1. Can't win 'em all I guess. But tonight...they are kickin' ass and takin' names!!! Go Braves!!
I hope everything's going well for whoever's reading this. Things are pretty good here. I'm winding down from my long week. I've had three tests this week and a presentation. I believe my tests went well, but the presentation didn't in my opinion. Not to worry though. I'm doing excellent in that class. I'm headin' home tomorrow. Jesse wants me to go with him to see his dad get baptized. I'll probably spend most of my weekend with my mommy and daddy just relaxin'. It will be nice to be away from Radford for a few days with no worries.
I never did tell ya'll about my weekend with Ty and Rock (Rach). We had a lot of fun. We watched movies, went to the arcade, played operation, and had some good food. I miss them so much! I can't wait to go home for summer. Just 28 days!!!
Not much has happened this week because I've been studying and what not. Tonight was fun though. Jesse and I got to go eat with Natalie. So much fun! I love that girl! We always have the best time together, even if we just go to dinner.
I don't really have much else to say. Keep it ROCKin'
Ah, the sound of a lawn mower. What a sweet sound!
Happy April Fool's everybody! I don't really get into this very much but my father alwasys insists on getting me. He called earlier to tell me that Ty and Rachel (my niece and nephew) said I was mean to them this weekend. Of course, it would break my heart for them to think that, if you couldn't tell from yesterday's update. So, once again my father got me. I had a wonderful time this weekend with my babies, and I hated to see them go. (Highlights: 1. Make sure there's film in the camera when you take pictures. 2. And I don't mean maybe.) I can't wait for summer. Okay, I'm going to take this update in a different direction now.

(I think because Maddux got hurt, but I missed the beginning of the game so I'm not sure.) YAY BRAVES!!! I might get more stats tomorrow. I just didn't have time today. I'm gonna get going now. Tomahawkin'!
