Assisted in Collections Management and Cataloging, researched
African-American women in Slavery for use in interpretation project.

Intern, Black History Museum of Va
Researched project ` Five Legendary Leaders` , wrote press releases,
cataloged objects for conservation, assisted with museum events.

Gave tours for Dooley House Mansion

Docent, James Monroe Museum
Gave house tours in costume as period character. Researched background
history
of African-Americans in that period to enhance characterization and for
future
interpretation.

Research Assistant, Meadow Farm Museum
Secured VCU archaeologist Dr. Mouer to look at possible Afro-American slave
burial site, conducted research on site using documentation, oral history,
topography maps, archaeological data. Took field trips to compare other noted
sites of relevance. Wrote Prospectus on research.

Worked in the field on Curles Neck site and Jordans` Journey. Under
instruction of Dr. Mouer, learned various techniques of excavation,
identification, and preservation of artifacts as well as mapping and charting
sites.

Photographic Collections Intern, Valentine Museum
Assisted the Director of Collections T. Roane in filling photographic orders
for researchers and clients. Completed mapping project `Court End in 1819`
for
use in Valentine at Tredegar Ironworks exhibit `Windows on Richmond` .

Processed tickets using computer system and data entry, general receptionist
duties as well.

Ensured guest comfort and enhanced guest knowledge about exhibit. Tour guide,
cashier for ticket desk, and `greeter` for the White House of the
Confederacy.

Volunteer, Meadow Farm Museum
Re-enactment performed. Learned and Researched period materials to enhance
characterization of free black during period. Modeled for `harvest festival`
poster in 1990.
