Base - "gimme" points for games won, lost
Wr - rider points from games Won
Lr - rider points from games Lost

# Teams that only have 9 games have their total multiplied by 1.11
(to put them on an even keel).

And, no, I DIDN'T forget anything. The averages ONLY mean something
at the END of the season, so you won't find them here. Knowing the point
TOTALS along the way is MUCH more important.

^ I've always posted the most accurate ratings for SW VA, days before the
VHSL's release, but this year, the VHSL has quit the ratings business,
handing the duties over to each Region. And it appears that the Regions
have decided that since THEY get to compute the ratings, AND use whatever
formula they want, this means that they also get to ignore the ratings
part of the VHSL Rulebook. The VHSL had said they would publish ratings
that were provided to them, but not a single set of ratings, from ANY
of the 24 Regions, can be found there, making it impossible to know
what the "official" numbers actually are. Therefore, I'm listing the
ratings with 'tweeks' so they'll match what media guys are posting on
Facebook, along with what those tweeks are...

Region 1-D IS counting Hurley's win over Tri-Cities Christian, but NOT
counting TCC's wins in their other 11-man games (Twin Valley & Unaka)
  for rider points.

Region 3-D is counting Northside's win over Rappahannock.

VHSL Football Ratings Point scale :

opponent Class : 6A 5A 4A 3A 2A 1A
                  -- -- -- -- -- --
if you win : 26 24 22 20 18 16
if you lose : 14 12 10 8 6 4

            Rider points...
2 for each game won by a team you beat
1 for each game won by a team you lost to
(this can also be stated as 1 per win by any opponent,
and 1 more per win by a team you beat)

Additional bonus points are given for playing a smaller school...
    2 points per Class difference
(i.e. A 4A school that plays a 2A school gets 4 additional points.
 The VHSL's computer program adds these into the rider points column;
I put them in the base points column, which is why our numbers don't match.)

                       TIEBREAKERS :

1. beat all other teams tied with
2. better record against all common opponents

(this basically means 9 games for ratings purposes)
4. highest winning percentage against rating scale-recognized opponents
(more commonly called best overall record)
5. highest average rating of all opponents
6. highest average rating of VHSL opponents
7. draw by lots by the Regional chair or Group chair or Group secretary
