For nearly half a century, Srila Bhaktivedanta Narayan Maharaja has been conducting this annual parikrama, humbly facilitating and nourishing all of the fortunate pilgrims from all parts of India as well as from western countries with his beautiful Hari-katha.
Sri Vraja Mandal parikrama will start on Nov. 1st and ends on Nov 30th. There will be lectures on Damodarastakam, Srimad-Bhagavatam, Sri Caitanya-caritamrta and other bhakti literatures; kirtana, darshan and parikrama of all famous pastime-places in Vraja mandal. The festival will be organised by Sri Srimad Bhaktivedanta Narayana Maharaja, and the leading tridandi sannyasis and brahmacaris of the Samiti.
We cordially invite everyone to come and join this beautiful festival, which will be an unforgetful transcendental experience.
Transport from Delhi
Outside the airport you can take a pre-paid taxi directly to Vrindavan for about 2000 rupees max. per taxi. You tell the driver to bring you to Sri Rupa Sanatan Gaudiya Math which is situated near Seva Kunj and Radha-Damodara Mandir.
There is a kiosk for changing money, once you've exited the baggage claim area, and before you go up the ramp to the arrival lounge.
Another way is (when you have not too much luggage) to take from the airport a bus (approx 10 rups) or prepaid taxi (approx 200 rups) to Nizambudim railway station and from there for 50-60 rupees take a train to Mathura. Quickest trains to Mathura leave from Nizambudim train station at 7.10 am., 12.50 pm (midday) and 4.20 pm. In Mathura you can take auto-rikshaw for 70-80 rupees to Vrindavan.
Registration
For your registration please let us know when you are coming and with how many persons. The parikrama fee (US $100 p.p. or Rupees 4,500) can be paid upon your arrival here either in rupees, dollars or UK pounds. This amount will cover prasadam, bus-fares and simple lodging for the entire month. For children we have special fees according to their age. If you want to reserve a hotel room or need help in your transportation from Delhi or have any questions or comments, please feel free to contact us by the above mentioned e-mail.
For information and registration you can contact the organisers in Sri Keshavaji Gaudiya Matha, Sripad Bhaktivedanta Madhava Maharaja and Sriman Brajanath dasa. Please confirm your registration per e-mail or phone as soon as possible. (Brajanath@Hotmail.com OR HareKrishna@vsnl.com)
NOTE
If you like, you can bring your own tent with you and set it up at the designated place. In some places beds aren't available, so it's a good idea to have some kind of inflatuable mat, or camping mat. It's also a good idea to bring a good mosquito repellent and torch.
