The Story...

Meet Lina...short, small breasted, pig...and meet Gourry...tall, strong, hard headed, handsome, pig. Together they are the Slayers.

This story is setup in a place of ancient times, where wizards, dragons, knights, and Linas exist. "A world populated with Heroes and Villians." Lina is a bandit slayer, who holds great magical capabilities, ie. the Dragon Slave. While doing the normal, bandit slaying & looting, she picks a treasure item that holds incredible magic. Unknowing of this at the time she continues on her way, where she soon meets the mercenary, and ancestor of the Swordsmen of Light, Gourry Gabriel. He makes a deal to be her body guard thinking that Lina was only a kid...due to her size and appearance. What a mistake.

Anyway it just so happens that the bandits who Lina stole from have a dragon. Because the dragon's master was killed in Lina's assualt, the dragon now roams free, attacking the nearby town. Lina is hired by the towns-people to slay the dragon. This is where we get to see Lina cast the Dragon Slave spell.

After being chased out of town by angry towns people (because she destroyed the town with the dragon) they move on together. In the next town, a mysterious man named Zelgadis appears...he's wanting to buy one of the items from Lina, but the catch is that he's willing to pay any sum she wants. After refusing to sell anything, he warns her that from the time of sun rise tomorrow, that they would be enemies.

So let the adventure begin...the first tape goes much further than this, plus it has a great deal of comedy inter-mixed.

Review...

I give the Slayers two flaming wings up. Although the plot was original the comedy and stereotypical personalities of the characters were what made it good. The art was a similar to Ayane's High Kick, and the story moved at a fast pace. I liked it, most others will too. Plenty of hours of entertainment for all.
