He was preceded in death by his wife Lillie Shook Plott; two sons: Edwin Lee Plott and Vance David Plott and daughter June Plott Gibson. Surviving are three daughters, Mary Minette of Hiawassee, GA, Irma Plott Flanagan of Young Harris, GA, and Reba Berrong of Hiawassee, GA; sons: Worth Plott, Dennis Plott, Ralph Plott, Ronnie Plott and Keith Plott all of Young Harris, GA, 15 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and a large number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 20, 1999 at the Cornerstone Baptist Church with the Rev. Ricky Rogers and the Rev. Jimmy Rogers officiating. Interment was in the Cornerstone Cemetery. Special music was provided by Sandy Alexander, Todd Flanagan and Terry Hooper.
Pallbearers were: Ricky Plott, Ray Plott, Kevin Warren, Todd Flanagan, John Myers, Danny Plott, Chad Ingram and Cory Ingram. Honorary pallbearers were Hubert Plott and Horace Plott.
Banister Funeral Home of Hiawassee was in charge of the arrangements.
