MLW RULES
These are the basic rules and guidelines
for Major League Wrestling.
Please read this page completely
before you start Roleplaying.
Thank you.
1. WRESTLERS:
No real wrestlers. Only fake, made-believe, imaginary, wrestlers that you create in your head are allowed to wrestle in MLW. Wrestlers with real names(Stone Cold Steve Austin, Kevin Nash, Undertaker, Wrath, etc.) are not allowed. However, you are allowed to create a carbon-copy of your favorite wrestler(Kevin Nash - Kevin Rash, Mr. Perfect - Mr. Perfection, etc.) to use in MLW.
2. ROLEPLAYING:
You are required to post a minimum of 2 roleplays a week. Your success in MLW is based roleplaying. Not only do you need to write good roleplays, you have to do well in other aspects of roleplaying as well. You need good character development and good angles along with good roleplays. Remember, the quality of roleplays is much more important than the quanity of roleplays.
3. THE BOARDS:
All roleplays go on the Roleplay Board. The Roleplay board is only for in-character comments, interviews, etc. You must post two roleplays a week.
The Challenge Board is for open challenges and match requests. A match is official when it is signed by the president.
The Comment Board is for all out-of-character comments, questions, and suggestions about MLW or anything else that you want to talk about.
4. MATCHES:
Booking your own matches is encouraged in MLW. It shows that you are devolping your character and angles. However if you do not book your own matches, you may be placed in matches that you have not requested. Also, as your wrestler moves up the ranks, you may have matches booked as well. Title matches and contender matches are booked by the president on a regular basis.
Wins and losses are based on roleplaying. The better roleplayer usually wins, but that is not always the case. Sometimes a good roleplayer may lose to set up an angle. A wrestler that loses a match that he/she should have easily won usually gets rewarded in another way. Example: Jonny Bravo loses the Internet title to a lesser opponent, but a week later at the PPV, he receives a world title shot.
5. TITLES:
There are three singles titles and one tag team title in MLW. Title matches are ususally booked, but match requests are usually granted. Although there are a required number of defenses for each title, it is only the minimum. More title defenses than the minimum are encouraged. The president may also book any title matches for any card without the consent of the champion.
Internet Title & Television Title. The Internet Title & Television Title are the MLW equivilent of The WCW Televison Title or the WWF European Title. These titles must be defended at least once a week. The Internet Title is slightly more prestigeous than he Telvision Title
Cruiserweigt Title. The Cruiserweight Title is the MLW equivilent of the WCW Cruiserweight Title. The weight limit is 230 lbs. and under. The Title must be defended at least once every two weeks.
United States Title. The United States Title is the MLW equivilent of the WCW United States Title or the WWF Intercontinental Title. The Title must be defended at least once every two weeks.
World Tag Team Titles. The World Tag Team Titles are the equivilent of the World Tag Team Titles of the WCW and the WWF. The titles must be defended at least once every two weeks.
World Heavyweight Title. The World Heavyweight title is the MLW equivilent of of the World Titles of the WCW and the WWF. The title must be defended once a month. The title must be defended at every PPV event unless the champion is envolved in another match signed by the president.
6. EVENTS:
Breakfast and Bodyslam results will be posted on Friday mornings. Postings of PPV events will vary.
All MLW events will be posted at approximately 9am on the day of the event. All results are final. Any compalints about results should be emailed to the president or placed on the Comment Board.
All roleplays must be posted by Midnight on the evening before the event.
All run-ins, interviews, sneak attacks, etc. for events need to be emailed to the president the day prior to the event. Run-ins, sneak attacks, etc. are not guaranteed to be on the events. It is to the presidents disgression whether or not to place thses on the cards. While most requests will make on the cards, some may not fit into the "storylines" and may not be used.
7. EVERYTHING ELSE:
If you are not going to be able to roleplay for any reason, contact the president. This way, an angle or story explaining your absense can be created.
Use HTML in roleplays. HTML helps organize your roleplay and makes it much easier to read.
Try contact your opponent prior to your match via email or chat. It helps when creating angles and storylines. Wresters that have good angles will get a better "push" than wresters without them.
Email the president with any angle ideas or storylines. Your input is greatly appreciated.
Use this SH!T, F**K, @SS, etc. when using foul language. This site is open to people of all ages, so please use keep cursing to a minimum.
Stables are allowed. You can have as many wrestlers as you wish in a stable.
You can have as many wrestlers as you wish in MLW. To be successful, it is recommended to have only one, two at the most. It is difficult to roleplay more than one wrestler at a time.
Lastly remember, its not whether you win or lose, its how you play the game. Keep that in mind when playing this game.
