| Like the tide rolling in from the sea, You were always there for me Your love showed me that the world was flawed, But that I alone had the power to fix my part of it It is because of you that I am the person I am today And I thank you for your unrelenting love If I could I would give you the world But even the world is not a big enough price to pay for your love You were there for me when I was sick and troubled you were there for me when I was healthy and happy You were my greatest supporter And an even greater friend If I could give you the sun I would just reach up and pluck it from the heavens But alas I can't You have shown me so much Yet so little of your knowledge People tell me that I should not build such, Unattainable goals All I can say to that is why? What would you tell me about my, Unattainable goals I know what you would say, Reach for your dreams and never let go For it is our dreams that make us real And you my dear are the realest thing, In the world to me Yes, if I could I would take back Everything I ever said to you while we were fighting, I would do this a million times over in fact I guess because I will never be able to take them all back A million times over I'll take them all back now, And for the rest of my life You gave me strength when I was weak You gave me courage when I was lacking You gave me love when I was needing All in all you gave life From a son to his mother, Thank you for the world I love it |
