| Turning around Ripped to pieces Finding myself a soul These are the things That make all good people Not whole In a time of battles and endless wars The human factor slips The misguided label themselves as the righteous While they label everyone else only flaws The battles are endless The wars are eternal But in the end the human factor's gone Wind and rain heal the earth Time covers and removes the pain History is written by the winner always in their favor The world starts back up again As the death toll rises Tens Hundreds Thousands Millions The number unreadable in the end The price to high But man still fights, Still battles, Still rages war In the end man dies Is this the legacy we leave our children A war thrown planet Rout only with pain Prejudice Greed Lies And hate Man is born Man does live And man must die Through mans life Man must learn Learn away to live with his neighbor Learn away to live with himself Most of all man must learn away to live with out anger The pain we bring scares the planet This planet we call home Only with love and understand Might we heal our woes Might we heal our home Until this time Wars go unfinished Battles go on unclaimed Man runs his race unto uncertain ends And an uncertain future that has been left un-drawn In the sands of the hour glass |
