I’m beginning to think that I need to stop comparing guys to cartoons, or at least telling them that I do. High school: I told Robb he reminded me of Theodore (Chipmunk) and Matt that he reminded me of Gonzo…both got offended…understandably, but I had to explain to them that Theodore and Gonzo were my favorites!! So maybe instead of not comparing them I should just start to pick cooler favorites!
Yesterday I compared my friend to Peter Pan (You’d think Peter Pan was safe). Of course immediatly he took offense (boys are so stupid). But anyway, it just popped up because I was reading an article that said, "twenty-something peter pans" so I said he was a twenty something year old peter pan. To which he said "then you are no Tinkerbell." I asked him if that was a fat joke, he laughed and said 'no' it was because I had told him we couldn't be friends anymore, so therefore I couldn't be his tinkerbell. I asked him why he couldn't say I was Wendy since Peter takes her home and she grows up to have kids while he goes back to Never-never land with tink and his lost boys. He said I was just trying to cover up calling him a pansy. I told him I didn't think that Peter Pan was a pansy, he's just immature and Wendy needs more than that (mind you I was still thinking Wendy and Peter, not me and him). He says, "more 'than' that huh?" Pause (this was all online) then he says, "I can't give more." (another pause) "where more is not earned." I said, "ouch" because frankly I had no idea what else to say, suddenly we were having a real conversation. Then he said that Tink was there and he had to run so I said fine I'll talk to you later (who wants to stay in a serious conversation anyway?) he said he was just kidding and we talked a little bit more he said there was a test that he should be taking and I told him to not let me stop him from taking it. So he went to take it.
