2005 OHIO DORSET SALE RESULTS

YEARLING RAM
THE 2005 NATIONAL CHAMPION RAM
Thanks to Ewephoric Dorsets, Gregg and Marlene Bell,
for purchasing this ram.
NUMBER:
PRC W-277
DOB:1/26/04
SIRE: L. THOMPSON OR 60 (OR 60 was the 2003 NAILE and Ohio State Fair Champion Ram.)
DAM: LB 326 (A young ewe that has produced great lambs in both of her first two lambings.)
DAM’S SIRE:PRC 9815 (My most consistent herd sire…for a list of his wins check out the 'Herd Sires' page.)
DAM’S DAM: PRC LB 59 (PRC 9815’s maternal sister…another great producing ewe. Her dam, Spilde 4000, also produced the 2000 National Champion Ram.)
COMMENTS: This is the most structurally complete ram I’ve raised to date. He has a perfect dock, great extension, plenty of size and an overall pretty package. His dam produced a set of triplets in Fall 2004, one of which is also entered in the sale. He was second in his class at the 2004 NAILE behind the Res. Jr. Ch.

FALL RAM LAMB
THE 2005 JUNIOR RESERVE CHAMPION RAM
Thanks to Tiffany Slater for purchasing this ram.
NUMBER:PRC LB357
DOB: 9/20/04
SIRE: "First In Class" PRC LB 299
SIRE'S SIRE: "Splash" L. Thompson Y0450
SIRE'S DAM: PRC LB 28 "Freaky"
DAM: Allen
COMMENTS: This is the longest bodied ram out of the fall crop. He has great muscular expression, an open head, and lots of size for his age. His sire is out of the sister to "First Class", the 1998 NAILE Champion Ram and "Muffin", the 2001 National Champion Ewe. His dam is one of the bigger Allen ewes. He wouldn't stand for the photo, so don't hold that against him.

COMMENTS:I always save a great yearling ewe for the sale. She’s a real beauty with lots of eye-appeal, extension, and length of body. Both this ewe and her dam were in my show flock. She’s my favorite of my keeper yearling ewe pen. She placed third in her class at the 2004 NAILE and has grown tremendously since then.
