impressions
tremulous strength
held fast by temptuous beauty
scatters ashes of truth
did i ever know you?
or just the illusion of you?
how can you be gone?
a spirit
wrapped in diamond illusion
shatters
what is it within us all
that calls out with fury
and spawns untimely tragedy?
splinters of light fade
impaled upon truthless façade
a silent soul
where are you now?
I pray you are at peace
unburdened by that which I never knew
demons, unseen by me, finally defeated
your monsters slain for eternity
