through translucent dreams of eternity
I weep
        crimson tears drown regret
        ageless memories decay resistance

through fevered visions of haunting beauty
I mourn
        dark angels drink champagne poison
        sweet demons bathe in ferocious sacrifice

A prison of vicious remorse
Yields nothing but further remorse

through ancient whispers of delicious desire
I rejoice
        lingering doubt slips away
        an immortal gift, incessantly cherished
