Childhood Graduation
The day of crowning victory dawns bright
Snow white dresses peek out from beneath blood red gowns;
matching caps balancing precariously atop locks and curls.
Parental faces shine proudly, wink, beaming approval
Kindergarten now past, remaining only in memories, lovingly stored.
But one frown, for Christian money due, blackens childhood light.
Darkness tears away one gown, white dress cruelly exposed.
Golden waves of hair blow awry; swiftly and brutally released to the wind.
For green greed - christian soldiers - graduation now denied
For green greed - christian soldiers - youthful innocence now destroyed
