Who is Yancy?

Yancy was born on December 9, 1977 on the sunny west coast of San Francisco. The best way to describe him is that he's not your normal guy. He was always very friendly to those around him and had very few enemies. The one thing he loved to do was act out movies and later when he hit 13, things changed for him. When mowing the lawn he would listen to music non-stop, but due to the hot sun his batteries died in the walkman. Therefore he would make guitar and drums while singing at the same time. Now to some people this may sound strange but too Yancy, it was music. He had this trusty piece of wood crap-guitar that he pretended to pull out all of his ideas. Well everybody thought that he was a fruitcake but that's ok. At least he's a good fruitcake instead of a bad one. One Christmas he nagged his parents to buy him a drum set because he liked playing as well as writing songs and singing. He played keyboards too, but for some odd reason he has not incorporated any in! to the band yet. Mr. Yancy J. Lambert has over 300 songs written, waiting to be used.

Musical History:
Yancy played in a band called Yanvidian which stood for Yancy, David, and Brian. These were guys in New Kent High School that formed a little fun band that played Better Than Ezra (Good), Pantera (Walk), and Dick Dale (Pulp Fiction Song). Yancy really wanted to do original material but everybody was too lazy. What a sack of potatoes. Shortly before this, he had another half-together band called Shock Wave which was Yancy singing, a friend Brian Cunningham on Bass Guitar, Johnny Wright on Electric Guitar, and Richie Lacy on Drums. Of course this did not go far. Yancy also worked with a fellow musician and friend, Gib Jones, lead singer and guitar player of Root 81. But he couldn't get any of these people to form a real band in the style he was looking for. So to make a long story a little bit shorter, Yancy met Wayne, Mike met Yancy, Wayne got kicked out, and Mike was kept. Jay knew Mike and Bill knew Jay. Later Joey met Yancy. And together From Within started to grow.

Influences:
Yancy & Brandi Slaughter, Bang Tango, Faith No More, Iced Earth, Iron Maiden, Nevermore, Saigon Kick, Enuff Z'Nuff, Danger Danger, Alice Cooper, Anthrax, Ozzy, Pantera, Shotgun Messiah, Dream Theater, Life of Agony, Lita Ford, Megadeth, King's X, Danzig, and Chopin.

Personal Note:
Without the love and support of Brandi, my family, and friends, none of this would be possible. I thank God for the gift he has given me and it will be used to the fullest.
Also I'd like to say people don't let the music industry and radio destroy good music. Remember the best music is the stuff they never play (Except for Dee Snider, He Rocks!) And to all the band members, you are brothers in blood.
