Pinnacle Peak has been a Tucson dinning pleasure for many years but while you are enjoying your steak or filet mignon you may be being watched by unseen eyes. Slim was an employee in the businesses early days and was quite the character. A worn old tymer Slim longed for the days of the wild west, so much so that he actually carried a gun on his hip while working. This may not seem odd because they have actors that do wild west gun show re-enactments, and the Pinnacle Peak sheriff and his deputies often wander the streets keeping you safe. But what made Slim so different was that his gun was real, and was usually loaded with live ammunition in it. Slim loved his job and was very dedicated to providing a realistic look into the past. He stayed in the building at night and made sure it wasn't the victim of vandalism, many nights people would say they would see him standing on the roof of the establishment watching over the grounds.
Well it has been many years since Slim was living but they say you can still see him on occasion standing on the roof looking out on the crowd of patrons. The clerks in the cash register booth say if they let their guard down and aren't conscious of where the money is at all times Slim will make himself know. Furniture gets moved, people will see Slim sitting or walking through the building. The new night watchman says lights will be on when he just walked by minutes ago and all was dark. Strange noises come from inside the building when it is locked and uninhabited.
If you would like to know what the legend of Pinnacle Peak looked like they have a large painting of Slim in the main entrance to the steak house, and actually have a tombstone in memoriam of Slim located west of the General Store, by the jail and prospecting creek.
But remember Slim is watching your every move, and as always respect the dead and the property the spirits reside on.
