My
name is Basil N. Floor, formerly Vasilion N. Flogeras. I immigrated to the
United States February 13, 1951. Following is the history of my family.
My great-grandfather immigrated to the village Megalo
Bontia from the village Kravara in the province of Roumele, located in the very
rocky mountains of Agrafa. This is how the Flogeras family got the
nickname "Kravarites". My great-grandfather knew forty different trades.
He even used to make gunpowder.
His wife was from the village of Lapanagous, Kalavrita. They
had six boys and three girls. Four of the boys and all of the girls
immigrated to the Patras area where they established mills for grinding flour.
My grandfather, Efthimios, and his brother Andreas stayed in Megalo Bontia.
