 NOTES:
One family history indicates that the ancestors of Samuel Manwill
were French Arcadians (originally coming from the area of
Normandy, France. There are many "Manuel" families living in those
areas of Canada near Maine, Vermont, and New Hampshire. Another
theory is that the family originates from England, as stated by
John Wortley Manwill in indicating the birthplace of his father
(if "New" England wasn't misunderstood) and that name can be
found in England near the time period under consideration)
In the LDS Family History Library, there are plenty of Maine
and New England records to search for all localities listed in
     family records and histories.
