My Darling Charlett,
As I have nothing to do I will write a few lines to my sweet girl. I got a
letter from Marie to day. She said she was back to winter again. There isent
a bud are a leaf out yet. Wouldent that be a hard place to live in? We can be
thankfull we don't live there. Just if she is happy that is the main thing, then we
can put up with most every thing.
I guse you are lonesom with the baby. It was hard on you. If we could have
stayed for a day are two we could helped you a little but I guss it was for the best.
I guss the ride was to much for her. She was so happy that we could go. She has not
been well since. She wants me to thank you for the patron. My she is miserable.
Papa is feeling pretty good now. We are intending to go to see Melvin. He wants
us to come up Sunday. Geneava has tried so hard to get feeling better so she could
go. It seems like every time we think we could have a day of, she is sure to get
worse. I am afraid I won't be able to go. I can't leave her with some one. If I could get
Aunt Amanda to come and stay with Geneava, but I am all most afraid to ask her, but
she can only say no. I will pay her the same as if she works. She will hardly help
one day a week. If I only could do my work I wouldent bother her at all.
We got a letter from Marrill B. to day. My he counts the days. 8 of June is the last
of school so he will take the very first train for home. He sure is glad that he can
come home.
What kind of weather are you having? We had quite a rain during the night and
showers all day. It is real cold tonight. Say, I got a telegram from George and Luella.
Then Luella and JoAn wrote me such a sweet letter. All my sweet children taught of
mother. John, Coily, a lovly box of candy; Woodruff, Emily box Candy and a letter;
Melvin wrote me such a sweet letter, a lovly flower Bowl full of flowers; Joseph and Mill
a nice flower to wher on my dress and ear rings. They were real nice; Geneava, gloves
and hanky and a sweet letter from Marrill B. and card; then what you all sent. Thanks
very much. It was Just lovly.
I hope you are all well. How is Berenice and her family? Love to them. I think
I had better quit and go to bed. Love to Ruben and the boys. Loads of love to my
sweet girl. Good night and plesent dreams.
Your loving Mother
