Established in 1994, The Dixie Hostel, is a privately owned, licensed affiliate, of American Youth Hostels, Inc., a part of the larger Hostelling International worldwide network - www.hiusa.org. The hostel has been rated a four star facility (Hostels USA) since its opening, and has won several awards (Let's Go) for its service to travelers. The Dixie Hostel also provides access to more National Parks and Monument areas than any other hostel - anywhere. The Hostel was built in 1929, and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It is just 20 miles from the massive red sandstone cliffs and arches of Zion National Park. In addition, the hostel is within two hours of Bryce Canyon, Glen Canyon Dam (Lake Powell) and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. Snow Canyon State Park, Coral Pink Sand Dunes, Pipe Springs and Cedar Breaks National monuments are less than an hour away. Quail Lake and Sand Hollow reservoirs are just a few miles away.

Directions: Take Exit #16 off I-15 (coming from south), Exit #17 off I-15 (coming from north), to Hurricane and Zion National Park. Follow State Route 9 for 9 miles until you come to the Main Street Traffic Light. The Hostel is one block South. We are located at 73 SOUTH MAIN STREET, Hurricane. at the Junction of State Routes 9 (Zion and Bryce) and 59 (North Rim Grand Canyon and Lake Powell). The hostel is just two hours north of Las Vegas, NV. and 5 hours south of Salt Lake City, Utah.
