"I...I don't think I can be with you anymore." Courtney
said softly into the phone.
"Courtney...no you can't do this to me...I love you! I'd be
there with you if I could! I want to be with you and you know it!
It's not like I'm trying to be away from you." Nick cried
into the phone.
"Nick...please. You're not making this any easier. I miss
you too much. You're never home and I can't go on tour because I
have to go to school. I just can't do this anymore. I can't be
with you when you're not here with me." She replied.
"No, it's not over. I'm coming home right now. You are much
more important than the tour." Nick babbled.
Courtney didn't know how long she could hold back her tears. She
didn't want to do this but she couldn't live with him being away
all the time when they're supposed to be together.
"Don't even think about leaving the tour Nick. You don't
need me. You have so many people that love you. You don't need
another like me. Please Nick. We hardly ever see each other. I
think it's Gods way of saying we aren't meant to be together.
Forget about me please and move on...It's for the best OK?"
She stated.
"Fine. But I won't ever forget about you. I don't know how
I'm gonna live without you but I'll do anything to make you
happy. You have my heart Courtney. I love you." Nick
answered her and then hung up.
"I love you too Nick." Courtney whispered into the dial
tone as she fell to the floor sobbing.
~*Three months later~*
"Yo Nick! Dude! Whatcha thinkin?" Brian asked.
"What do you think I'm thinkin about Frick?" Nick asked
his best friend.
"Nick man...Get over her please. I know you love her and all
but it's been three months. Please. We can't stand seeing you
like this." Brian said.
"I can't just forget about her Frick! I love her too much!
My heart belongs to her! I can't get her out of my mind."
Nick told Brian.
Brian couldn't stand seeing Nick like that. He thought Nick and
Courtney would last forever. He thought they would get married,
have beautiful kids, and grow old together. Brian knew Courtney
still loves Nick. Nick would have to figure out a way by himself
to get her back.
~*A week later*~
The bus was driving down the highway when a voice rang out.
"I know what to do! I know!!" Nick screamed.
The other four boys scrambled outta their bunks. Rubbing his eyes
AJ mumbled, "Nick you fucking crackhead. What the hell is so
important that you have to scream and wake all of us up at 3 in
the morning?"
"I'm gonna get her back guys! I'm gonna get Courtney back! I
know exactly how! I'm gonna hop a plane to South Dakota as soon
as we get to St.Louis and go to her house. I have it all planned
guys! " Nick exclaimed while running around hugging his four
best friends.
"That's great Nick. Now go to sleep. You're gonna need it
bro." Kevin said as they retreated to their bunks.
~*The next day*~
They walked down the street holding hands. He leaned down and
whispered something in her ear while pushing her hair away from
her face gently. She looked up at him and smiled. He kissed her
gently on the lips and whispered, "I love you
Courtney." She whispered back, "I love you too
Nick."
Courtney sat straight up in bed. She looked at the clock and
sighed. It was only 9 am. "Why can't I forget about
him?" she asked herself. "Maybe I should call Candi and
talk to her. She always gets my mind off him."
Just then she heard music coming from the living room. She
thought she heard Nick's voice. She ran into the room and looked
around. No one was there. She was surrounded by tons of lit
candles. She sighs then the music stopped. A different song
started to play except a familiar voice started singing along
with it.

I'm too afraid to show."
Courtney looks around the room but finds no one

Courtney recognizes the voice and tears fall down her face.

Nick steps out of the dark and walks over to Courtney. He slips
his arms around her waist and looks her in the eyes while he
sings.

"I love you Courtney. I couldn't forget you. I can't live
without you anymore. Please say you'll be mine again." Nick
whispered.
"I've missed you so much!" She replied throwing her
arms around his neck and burying her face in his chest. "I
love you so much! I was so stupid to let you go! I need you too
much." She finished.
"Let me love you forever Courtney." Nick whispered.
"OK Nick. I love you." She whispered back.
~*A year later*~
"May they rest in peace." The minister finished.
The sobbing and crying died down as the sea of mourning people
left the cemetery. Only two people were left standing there.
"Why them J?" Brian asked.
"I don't know man. They were so young. They had the rest of
their lives to live together." AJ answered.
"It's so unfair! They had just gotten married two months
ago! The day they died I remember Nick calling me all excited
because Courtney was pregnant. They were going home to celebrate.
No one would've realized that the truck would hit them a couple
minutes later and they'd be out of our lives. Forever. They were
some of my best friends! God...why did you take them from
us?" Brian screamed crying.
"It's OK man." AJ continued, "I know you miss them
a lot. We all do. But they're in a better place now. A place
where their love will last forever."
