1998's line has been called the best drumline AFHS has ever had. The summer was hours of backbreaking work to learn and clean our show. However, if you talk to anybody in the drumline they
will tell you it was all worth it. We proved ourselves again and again to ourselves and to everybody who watched us. We recieved many compliments from our audience and many criticisms from our instructor, John Grant.
The band appeared at BOA Western Regionals and made Finals.
1998's show was awesome. Music consisted of: "Victory at
Sea Fanfare"(with an awesome pit intro), "Sea Chantey",
"Country Dance"(with an awesome bass drum solo), and "Rumba Rumba
"(with a drum intro and a drumline solo in the middle.)
"The drumlne is coming through very clean and strong, and even seems to overpower the rest
of the band, but they aren't. They're just so clean. . ." -A Judge
