UNICILLIN
Presentation: Each ml contains:
300 mg Procaine Penicillin G  B.P.
1 mg Methylhydroxybenzoate  B.P.
Recommended Use: Indications for Use: For the treatment of systemic infections caused by or associated with organisms sensitive to penicillin.
Species: Cattle, Sheep and Pigs.
Dosage and Administration: The recommended dose is 8 ml per 100 kg bodyweight i.e. 24,000 I.U. procaine penicillin per kg or 24 mg/kg of procaine penicillin.
For deep intramuscular administration only

Clean the area of injection and swab with spirit.
The maximum dose recommended at any one site for cattle is 20 ml.

Contra-Indications and Warnings: Not to be administered to animals known to be sensitive to penicillins.
Occasional allergies to penicillins have been observed but these are rare.
Not for use in lactating ewes producing milk for human consumption.
Occasionally in suckling and fattening pigs, administration of procaine penicillin may cause a transient pyrexia, vomiting, shivering, listlessness and incoordination. Additionally in pregnant sows and gilts, a vulval discharge which could be associated with abortion has been reported.
Recommended Withholding 
Period:
Milk should not be used for human consumption during treatment or for 72 hours thereafter.
Animals should not be slaughtered for human consumption for 7 days post treatment.
Pharmaceutical 
Precautions:
Shake well before use.
Store in a cool place, below 25 ºC.
Once a vial is broached, use the contents within 4 weeks.
Avoid contact with skin.
Keep out of reach of children.
Wash hands after use.
Packing: 100 ml vials.
