| Suggested Dosing
Programme: |
CATTLE In-wintered stock:Areas of light infestation - stock should be dosed about six weeks after housing. Areas of heavy infestation - dosing may be necessary as early as the beginning of October, and at four-to-six week intervals until housing. Dose at housing, and again six weeks later. Out-wintered stock:Areas of light infestation - stock should be dosed in the late autumn and in the spring. Areas of heavy infestation - dosing may be necessary from early October to the end of the fluke season (February/March) at intervals of four to six weeks. Dairy Cattle: Replacement and in-calf heifers should be included in a routine dosing programme, but milking cows should be dosed only at drying off before calving. SHEEP: All sheep on fluke-infested pasture should be dosed at regular intervals during the fluke season (usually from September to February/March depending on area and weather conditions). The interval between doses will depend on the level of pasture contamination. It may be four to six weeks in a bad season when contamination is heavy. |
