| Presentation: | Dexatrin is a 15% w/v injectable solution of Oxytetracycline hydrochloride B.P. and 0.05% w/v of Dexamethasone (as Sodium Phosphate B.P.) and 1% w/v Tripelennamine hydrochloride B.P. | ||||||||
| Recommended Use: | General
Indications: Dexatrin is active
against oxytetracycline sensitive micro-organisms,
including Rickettsiae, Brucella, Haemolytic Streptococci
and some large viruses. Species: Cattle and Sheep. |

| Dosage and Administration: | For deep intramuscular use or very
slow intravenous use. The recommended dosage is as
follows:

| Contra-Indications and
Warnings: |
This
product should not be used in pregnant animals. Occasional allergies do occur but these are rare. Dexatrin should not be diluted with solutions of calcium salts. This product should not be used in uncomplicated viral infections. This product should not be used in calves with severe respiratory distress. |

| Recommended Withholding Period: | Milk must not be used for human
consumption during treatment or for 72 hours thereafter.
Animals should not be slaughtered for human consumption during treatment or for 28 days thereafter. |

Precautions: |
Keep out of reach of children.
Store in a cool place, below 25 ºC and protect from light. For animal treatment only. Avoid contamination during use. Once the vial is broached use contents within 4 weeks. Wash hands after use. This product contains dimethylacetamide (DMAC) and care should be taken to prevent absorption through the skin. |
